Happy "Cananana" Day!
Aria is quite the talker and has some interesting pronunciations. She likes to eat "snamiches" play with her toy "aminals" and listen to "mucus." After church she can actually tell us about her time in nursery - this week they talked about "Jesus and revenence" and sang Popcorn Popping and Happy Family.
The crib has been converted to a toddler bed for a couple nights now. It took an hour to get her to sleep the first night - stories, singing, and lots of laying her back down. She managed to stay in bed all night though. Second night took less time to get her to sleep, but she ended up asleep on the floor by morning. Ah well. My baby girl isn't so much a baby anymore!
The alphabet is coming along, but she still skips EFG every time. Counting is getting much better. One through nine are consistently correct, 10 is usually replaced with 12, and everything after that is 18, 18, 18.
She is very good at saying "buh-bye" and usually adds "have fun" or "see you later" afterwards too. It helps her to say bye to toys or other things as a transition to a new activity or place. She even says "Buh-bye poop. Have fun!" when she flushes the toilet!
Sewing projects for the month:
shortening the green dress, pajama pants, and a ruffle USA shirt.
Also drew/painted/created five pieces of artwork, shown here.
Playing at the park - climbing, sliding, and throwing rocks.
Aaron's ballgames - playing in the dirt and begging for food.
I tend to think Aria is going to be right-handed, but she always scribbles on both arms.
Hiding is always more effective when "I'm hiding!" isn't said every few seconds.
Zucchini lasagna was a big hit - and makes a good moisturizer.
Playing in the "cuddles" with Wanda.
