Along the wall that the white couch is facing, are a couple of bookcases. One of them has no backing, so there are boxes of books still waiting for it to get stabilized. Aaron picked up some wood from work that will be great, it just needs to get trimmed down and nailed on. And next to it, above the purple chair, is a LOT of blank white space - the height of the ceiling at that end of the room makes it look even worse. I've got a couple of blank canvases that could work well there, if I could ever decide what to paint. And we're still needing light. The living room is the one place that didn't come with overhead lighting, so it gets dark in the evenings. It's all really coming together though, and feeling more and more like home.

Please, have a seat.
After much waiting and anticipation, we now have seating! The couch is big and fairly cushy with a white slipcover. The love seat is on the shorter side, and on the uglier side, but easily covered with a blanket and comfortable enough.
We've got two desks - Aaron's is the catchall for the moment, since we haven't actually picked up his computer from his Dad's (why bother when I have a faster laptop, right?). My desk (the one behind the couch) is filled with art supplies and is a good surface for painting.
