6 months

 

 

Congratulations to me and Aaron. We have been parents for six months. Wow. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. She is happy all day, and sleeps through the night. She is chubby and healthy and loves to smile and interact with everyone. Whenever we take her anywhere everyone comments on how well behaved she is. She is very well tempered and laid back.

She has mastered rolling over, and spends most of her play time on her tummy. She will occasionally roll from tummy to back, but usually rolls right back to her tummy. She wants to move and go places, but has only figured out how to push with her arms, which results in spinning in circles or scooting backwards. Her legs haven't come into the mix quite yet, so she can move around, but generally in one small area and not very fast. The rest of her play time is spent in her Jolly Jumper, where she'll spend an hour or two every day. She absolutely loves to bounce and jump (and talk to the door jamb).

 

Aria will be weighed and measured at her vaccination appointment tomorrow, but we already know she is over 20 pounds.  Time for her to graduate from her bucket-seat to a new car seat.  Hooray for not having to haul the bucket-seat around anymore!  At least she'll be able to properly sit up in a shopping cart now.  She isn't totally stable sitting on her own, but she is improving more and more.  It is so much fun to watch her grow.  Less fun trying to hold onto her during church, as she is getting very wiggly, but at least I can put her on the floor and she won't crawl away.
