Calaway Park is a small amusement park just outside of Calgary.
We bought passes for Christmas and finally used them.
Aaron had been many times as a kid, but it was a first time for the rest of us.
We got there right when it opened
and started with the Bumper Boats while the line was short.
(Swirly Twirl)
Aria is the perfect age / size. She is big enough to ride on the big rides,
but happy to ride on the small rides too.
(The Wave Rider)
My only problem was that everything spins.
I can tolerate the rides, but I don't enjoy them.
(Baja Buggies)
Aria squealed with delight on every ride.
We did spend a few dollars on a carnival game and won the bear
(something Aaron got to do as a kid, but I never ever did).
Other extras included mini golf and a maze.
Daddy was happy sharing some of his childhood with Aria.
Boulder Bumpers and Tot Yachts, Aria got to ride on a little bit of everything.
But her favorite was the "Dream Machine" which she rode with Dad.
Daddy's favorite was Dodgem
(one of the few rides Aria couldn't go on).
My favorite was Timber Falls - something that didn't spin!
The one ride we ALL went on - Rocky Mountain Railroad.
Looking forward to doing it all again!
