For Family Day we drove to Drumheller and went to the Royal Tyrrell dinosaur museum. Aria isn't a big fan of dinosaurs, since THIS has been her experience with them, but the museum was free for the day so it was worth a try. The first area was a bit crowded, but as soon as we went further into the displays it thinned out and wasn't too bad. (It was my first time too so I'm not sure how it usually is.) And Aria didn't mind all these dinosaurs - I think it helped that they didn't move or roar at her.
Afterwards we went downtown and climbed the World's Largest Dinosaur. 105 steps to the top and a beautiful view as our reward. Not every day you get to be inside a dinosaur and live to tell about it!
