17 months for Aria

Month seventeen has been a fun one.  Lots of Christmas joy and laughter, family and gifts.  Grandma and Grandpa Palmer are here, so Aria has been able to see all of her grandparents (plus one great grandmother) for Christmas!  Our adventures are coming up in another post after I deal with sorting all the pictures.

Aria's vocabulary has expanded once again.
  • bubble
  • ball (sounds like bowl, heavy emphasis on the O)
  • more (again emphasis on the O)
  • She-she (our friend Sherry)
  • toot-toot (for trains)
  • puppies now pant instead of bark
  • owl says "whoooo"
  • donkey says "who-hee"
  • lobsters pinch
  • snakes say "ssssss"
  • sharks say "duh duh" (like the Jaws theme)
  • tigers growl very softly
One evening Aria randomly said "one two tchee!" (after never practicing numbers with her at all).  But we've never been able to get her to repeat it.  If we say one, she says "two tchee!"

I think we've been blessed with the best baby EVER.  Aria has always been good at going to sleep, but the last week or two she's been almost excited for it.  As long as she's tired at naps and bedtime we say "night night" and she'll give everyone kisses and head off to her room.  We put her in the crib, give her a soother, turn on some quiet music, and she'll say "buh-bye!" and she's quiet for the next 2-4 hours for nap, and 11-12 hours at night.  We do love our baby girl.
