Like I said, Aaron was up to bat four times, and got hits every time. I actually got all of them on video, but I'll only put up his best. You can hear him yell "Get outta here!" because the ball was headed out of the park, but hit the top of the fence and bounced back in. At least he got a double out of the deal.
We had been planning on going south to our friend Jon's wedding reception, but at the last minute decided to go to the ball game in the afternoon instead. It was against one of the much tougher teams, the Cannons. No one knew we were coming, so Aaron wasn't put in the line-up. He acted as first base coach, and was very encouraging, but didn't actually get to play. The coach was about to put him in during the next at-bat when the umpire suddenly called the game due to time (when they're usually supposed to give a one inning warning). The Royals lost, 5 to 2. Aaron was glad to be there even though he didn't play, rather than be stuck in the car for six hours.Game three happens this Thursday, and then a double header for four and five two weeks after that.
