saskatoon berry picking

Saskatoon berries can be found in western Canada and north central US. Also known as june berries or service berries, they are similar to blueberries only smaller and not as sweet. Aaron absolutely loves them. So last Saturday we drove about 45 minutes southeast of Calgary to a provincial park in Carseland and picked a big bucket of them. Of course I found pretty things to take pictures of, and we had a nice wander around the park for a couple of hours. We have plans to turn the berries into a pie or two, or possibly some muffins.
