brief trip to the states

After months of waiting, Aaron and I finally got around to heading south down to Montana to pick up all my stuff from a storage unit there. We had tried to get it across the border back in October, but Aaron was honest and said it wasn't his, so it got stuck in Sunburst, Montana. It was a three hour drive down to the border, where I jumped out of the car and waited there, while Aaron took 40 minutes grabbed the stuff, and picked me up again. We had a minor hangup at the border coming back in - we had tried to do everything the right way, but the lady at our original border crossing didn't do the paperwork right, so the guy we had to deal with this time was suspicious. He let us go anyway, but we just have to make sure the rest of the stuff comes through Kingsgate - where they have a list of our stuff on file. Back on our way north, we stopped by a friend's house for a little while to say hello, and then continued on our way home. It was after dark by now, but it was only a two hour drive, and Aaron was very familiar with the roads. Until the fog hit! Neither of us had ever driven through such horrible fog. We had to slow way down and carefully follow the center line so we didn't fall of the road. It was a very strange experience, but we safely made it home.

When we come in August we are planning to cross in Vancouver. If we are bringing any of your stuff maybe you'll have to contact the border crossing there and get them a copy of the list.
